My Life
I was born and raised in the Fort Worth area of Texas. I grew up with my two loving parents, Brad and Christi, my brother Caelen and a whole bunch of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends that the family made into family. I married in 2022 to my amazing husband, James and together we have two puppies. Our first is a mutt named Leeloo and our second is a dorkie named Daisy. We currently reside in the Fort Worth area after beginning our marriage in East Texas. We are looking forward to settling down, growing our family and being near family. We are currently members of a Baptist church in Fort Worth where we love to fellowship, build community and worship alongside other believers.
My Career
I currently work as an ACT Case Manager for my local mental health authority in the county I reside in. I teach psychosocial rehabilitation to people with serious mental illnesses (SMI) and in need of extra support. I teach coping skills, life skills and healthy lifestyles, while encouraging person centered treatment. I love what I do and I continue to learn more from each unique individual that I have the honor of meeting.
My Passion
I received my calling of counseling at the age of 13, when I began to understand that even though my home was safe and comfortable, that did not necessarily mean everyone else’s is. I had people I love go through trauma, heartbreak, brokenness and more. I knew God was calling me to be a part of helping His children understand and walk through these things and so ever since then I have tried my best to let God take the reins on my life and career path. I began with thinking it was going to be Marriage and Family Therapy, but as time has grown I feel God is pulling me in the direction of working with people with SMI. I will continue to pray and let Him lead me in whichever direction He needs me to go in.
